A Flood of Irony

If you think floods = drought alleviation, you would be wrong. In fact floods actually worsen water shortages. Perusing the top ten most read articles of the news (why search for the best when others do it for you?) the flooding in Gipsland (Victoria) came to my attention and, silly me, I thought 'Great! that's just what we need, lot's of rain'. No. Wrong. You are the weakest link. Goodbye. In fact flooding actually pollutes groundwater and watersources forcing people in the area to drink bottled stuff (contributing to tonnes of landfill created by plastic bottles every year) and is generally an all-round crap thing. Awesome. Just. Can't. Catch. A. Break. I think all the bad karma humanity has racked up over the years is finally biting us on the ass. Modest Prediction: human extinction by 2050.

The Gospel According to: Blogs

...and the word was god. Greetings and welcome to as close as you'll get to the divine word as you would anywhere else. If that doesn't make sense then don't worry it wasn't meant to. Inane piece of trivia #347 for the day: the only blogs I read in any kind of regular way are the The Superficial and Blogography. What does that have to do with anything? Nothing. They're really far more entertaining and amusing than any half-arsed collection of crap I could ever hope to come up with. The moral of this story: You should probably be over there reading them, rather than wondering exactly where this is going. The truth? I'm making it up as I go along. Story of my life.
